KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct system integrations, design and develop solutions to meet business needs.
2. Analyze new system requirements and design technical specifications for development and implementation.
3. Test new developments or changes on existing software and conduct User Acceptance Test and quality assurance.
4. Provide on-going maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
5. Monitor applications and SQL Server databases to ensure maximum uptime.
6. To provide maintenance and support of business application systems of the bank to ensure timely rollout for use by RCBs and ARB Apex Bank PLC.
7. Implementation and support of Business Intelligence Solution to address reporting gaps.
8. Manage implementation of projects assigned for successful roll out.
9. To perform any other tasks which may be assigned by the Head of Unit or Head of Department.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of a first degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or in a related field. Membership of a recognised professional body is preferred, e.g. Prince2, PMP. At least three (3) years’ post qualification experience in Software Engineering/Development.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. A comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.
2. Knowledge of the core banking software –T24
3. Highly proficient with the C#, SQL, HTML/CSS, JavaScript programming languages
4. Ability to keep abreast with technology changes and innovation
5. Knowledge in version control systems
6. Excellent coding skills
7. Good communication skills – both written and verbal
8. Must have a keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.
9. Strong analytical mind
10. Excellent problem-solving skills
11. Ability to stick to time constraints
12. Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite
